Who and Why

Howdy - I’m Mike Bush. I’m a San Francisco-based musician with years of experience in bands but have decided to change things up a bit.

I play a variety of music, mostly covers, ranging from Hank Williams to Deathcab for Cuties and more. One friend called it “dad rock” while another called it “eclectic” - I prefer eclectic but I’ll let you call it whatever you like so long as you come out and have a listen - or if you have a venue looking for mellow but fun entertainment - book me.

How am I different - 100% of the proceeds of all of my shows go to local charities. Unless I am fundraising for a particular charity, there will be two tip baskets at each show with the name of that event’s charities. Choose your favorite and the charity with the most money at the end of the night will receive those tips and any money received by the venue. Of course, tips in the other basket will be donated to the chosen charity, but the house money goes to the winner.
